Laser guide has been used by many calligraphers/letterers for addressing envelopes or used for writing straight. It’s very efficient and saves time from drawing lines and erasing them after the job done. 

TIPS: Line up your envelopes on a grid note pad and line up the laser beam with the lines. You can draw some lines on the pad to mark the designated address position. Move the note pad instead of the laser guide when moving to the next line, it's easier and quicker.
